Services for local businesses
Practical help with Google, websites and online visibility
Ember Harbour helps owner-managed businesses improve how customers find, understand and contact them online.
You do not need to know whether the answer is improving how your business appears in online searches, updating your Google Business Profile, changing your website or something simpler. Tell me what is not working, and I’ll help you work out what is most likely to help.

Choose the most useful starting point
Some businesses need one focused improvement. Others need a clearer diagnosis or several essentials brought together. These are the six main ways Ember Harbour can help.
- Not sure what needs attention? Start with a free online business check
- Need a detailed review and action plan? Choose an Online Presence Audit
- Need to improve what people see on Google Search and Maps? Explore Google Business Profile help
- Have several weak or missing foundations? Consider Foundation – Get Found
- Need a new website that supports real enquiries? Explore Local Business Websites
- Need agreed ongoing support after the initial work? Consider Ongoing Visibility or Website Care

Free online business check
A useful first check when you are unsure where to begin.
I call this a Local Visibility Snapshot. It is a short check lasting around 30 to 45 minutes and looks at the public information customers see, including the main contact route. You receive useful observations and sensible next steps.
It is free for a limited number of suitable local businesses and normally limited to one per business. Requesting one does not guarantee a free place. It does not include a full audit, detailed action plan, implementation or repeated free advice.
Online Presence Audit
A deeper review when you need to understand the whole picture before deciding what to change.
The audit reviews your website, Google Business Profile, local visibility, competitors and enquiry routes where relevant. You receive prioritised findings and a practical action plan.
From £245
Google Business Profile
Useful when the details people see on Google Search and Maps are missing, unclear or out of date.
Set up or improve important details such as categories, services, service areas, description, hours, contact options and review link. The work also includes basic recommendations for photos, updates and handover.
From £225
Foundation – Get Found
For businesses with several missing or weak online basics.
Foundation brings together the agreed work needed to help people find the business, understand it and get in touch. Your proposal lists exactly what is included.
From £595
Local Business Websites
For businesses that need a focused website to explain their work and support enquiries.
Ember Harbour builds with WordPress, a well-established website platform that provides a practical foundation which is straightforward to update, maintain and hand over.
From £995
Ongoing Visibility and Website Care
For businesses that need defined support after the initial work.
- Website Care from £59 per month
- Visibility Care from £149 per month
- Combined Website and Visibility Care from £199 to £329 per month
Before care begins, we agree what is included, how often it will be done and any extra work. Care is never unlimited support.
Know what is included before work begins
Starting prices give you an idea of the likely cost. The final price depends on what is already in place and the work we agree is needed.
1
Understand the starting point
We look at what is already in place and what problem needs to be solved.
2
Agree what will be done
You receive a clear written breakdown and fixed price before any work begins.
3
Keep extras separate
Any extra work needs your written approval and a separate price.
You will not be pushed into a larger service simply because it is available. The aim is to agree work that fits the business and can be delivered properly.
Still not sure which service fits?
Start with a free online business check if you would like a useful first look at what customers can find. I call this a Local Visibility Snapshot. If you already know what you need, tell me a little about the business and the problem you want to solve.
